This plant belongs to J & L Orchids in Easton, Connecticut on display at the Maryland Orchid Society Show and Sale. I want it for my breeding program. Anyone know where I can get one? It is a primary hybrid between Laelia milleri (deep red and strong stem) and Sophronitis coccinea (red and wider sepals and petals). It is very scarce in cultivation.

Paph Johanna Burkhardt Named for one of my heroes. Johanna Burkhardt and her husband Hans sold many rare species from their home lab in the 1980s. Their home was DEEP in the redwood forest of Mendocino County, California on the banks of the Noyo River. Their cottage was solar and water powers. My brother Patrick and I visited on one of the best days in my life. Hybrid is Paph rothschildianum x adductum.

This hybrid includes the Mexican Laelia anceps for vigor, size, and temperature tolerance (high AND low), and Central American Cattleya aurantiaca for rich warm colors. Purchased from Steve and Rachael Adams at the Maryland Orchid Society Show and Sale.
